Unstoppable
And he stayed two full years in his own rented quarters and was welcoming all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered. Acts 28:30-31
Unhindered. It’s the last word in the book of Acts. Unhindered sums up the whole story of the spread of the unstoppable gospel from the small group of early disciples in Acts 1, throughout the known world, ultimately impacting the whole Roman empire. The gospel has gone forward. Disciples have been made. Churches have been planted. Thousands and thousands of people have come to know Christ. And in the closing words of the historical account of the Holy Spirit birth of the church, we find Paul under house arrest. Yet still, he’s proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about Christ with boldness. The gospel is going forward unhindered.
Nothing can stop God’s work of spreading the good news of the gospel throughout the world. The power of the gospel to build the church is unstoppable! No obstacles, not even persecution or imprisonment, could truly stop its spread. And God’s work in our lives is unstoppable as well. God has a purpose and plan that He will accomplish regardless of the obstacles we face.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Philippians 2:13
Be encouraged. You are a child of an unstoppable God if you’ve embraced the unstoppable gospel. Now join Him in His unstoppable plan for the Church.
