Our Pastors
Mark Smith
Senior Pastor
A Michigan native, Mark is married to Gale and they are blessed with three grown children. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies followed by a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Studies from Grace Theological Seminary. During his years of ministry in three churches he has served as Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, Christian Education, Worship and Administration, along with serving as Senior Pastor. Mark also enjoys woodworking, hunting, reading, exercising, and spending time on the shores of Lake Michigan with his wife Gale.

Jonathan Cox
Associate Pastor of Worship and Media

Jonathan has loved worship ever since childhood. Being a pastor’s kid, and also a son to musical parents, he has always been around music and the church. He led worship for 17 years in North Carolina and is passionate about helping others enter into Heaven's gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Throughout the years of serving in the church, he has developed a great love for people and lending a hand wherever it was needed. Here at Green Lake Calvary Church, he leads worship, runs our social media and online presence, heads our Journey Groups, teaches our Young Married's Sunday School class, and Wednesday night Iron Man Bible Study ministries.
Jonathan and his wife Gabriella live in Byron Center with their two daughters, Ava and Addison. He loves fishing, shooting, playing music, watching movies, drinking coffee and eating wonderful food!

Kyle Jones
Youth Pastor

Kyle is a West Coast transplant to the West Michigan area. He and his wife, Lindsi, have two daughters and a son. Kyle completed the foundation of his Bible education through New Tribes Mission and then received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute.
He has worked as a medical device trainer and has served the church in a number of capacities, including youth ministry. Kyle has long-valued people and their friendship. Kyle also loves movies, reading fiction, and driving for the fun of it… when gas is affordable.
